You guys know I bottle things up inside, ’cause its hard to date at my age. I finally bottomed out, this week I broke my resolution and smoked two packs of cigarettes. As a coping mechanism of loneliness, of course. That actually happened. What does this mean? Honestly, that’s when I first thought about dating again in my new hometown.

No problem. I can mix up my social life at professionally hosted Denver singles events. Definitely could do me good. Prolly wouldn’t be an issue, but it is. We were at little Brent’s Easter egg hunt at Oak Park last week, Mom started bothering me if I have yet to win the woman I’m going to marry. I don’t know why they even care. My response was, “I’m eating here, and no.”

Even Cousin Terry kept pressing me along the lines of my personal matters. I quipped to the whole group: “Dating isn’t for me, but you would bring that up.”

Can you believe this? Everyone looked away and giggled. Immediately, I rang Margaret because the dating pressure was too much. What a waste of time! I didn’t learn a thing. Nina, who wrote to me from Egypt, offered his opinion that I enlist in Great Expectations. I said, “Yeah, maybe I should.” But it really was a good idea. I am truly grateful for Great Expectations Denver.

At the time, singles events and mixers were a novel thing to me. I’d never done anything like this before, that my hands started sweating. A mere mess did not stop us from enjoying ourselves. The evening was a happy hour not to forget. The host was incredible and I’ll always remember the honest, desirable singles.

Afterwards, I realized why so many people show up to these glorious Great Expectations Dallas singles events, I got in touch with some great people who clearly feel the same way I do which made for a magnificent singles event. I really shouldn’t allow everyone get on my back about being single. Astoundingly enough, matchmaking the Great Expectations way is enjoyable and just what I’ve been looking for.
