A massive and always growing phone market following the rule of introducing the newest new phone has now made it wonderfully hard for people to compare phone promotions. Most of the time, there are numerous aspects that cell phone customers may need to look into when making mobile phone comparisons that some of the most essential ones get forgotten about. Get great o2 mobile phone deals from the market leading comparison site MobileShop.

As a result, you consistently end up having a cell phone which is either too pricey or a phone which is not suited for your mobile phone text profile. Thus we point out in this guide about the 2 most essential things that customers should forever look into when making mobile comparisons. This can often help mobile customers land a cell phone that at least meets the basic criteria folk are looking for.

The total mobile UK market is booming on the basis of tremendous features like mp3 players that keep getting added every other day. On the other hand, a really large majority of individuals purchase phones based on their appearance, brand and stunning hype only to regret later on when folk observe that their astonishing phone lacks a deeply basic feature like sending emails or ringtones. Various fabulous dear cell phones sell on the basis of marketing, brand and aesthetics at prices that are unjustified given the lack of features. For e.g. the very latest Apple Iphone 3G does not let cell phone customers forward text messages to all. Unfortunately, this phone’s target audience, early twenties, gets to regret the removal of this feature only after spending weeks worth of pocket money on it. Therefore make sure that your astonishing new cell phone has all the features like interactive maps you require before paying up. Since mobile businesses will never tell folk about the super features like movie players that their mobiles lack, researching online mobile articles is the greatest way to do it.

If your company own one or more stores, you might be wondering if it would be a good idea to have a website. You might also be wondering if a website for the company store would be profitable for your business.

Those are very legitimate questions.

I worked as a marketing director for a store for some times, and I was always harassed by salesman wanting me to by publicity for every imaginable form of paper advertising. Some offer were interesting, most were not.

Are you in the same situation?

If you are, you know how expensive paper advertising is. A simple add in the yellow pages can cost you thousands of dollars each year!

So you might be wondering if a website for the company store is a good idea, furthermore an affordable idea. And the answer is maybe.

Why? Because it depends on who you buy your website from and why.

Who should you buy your website for the company store from?

There is a large choice of company who can help you. My suggestion? Go either with a local company you personally know, or ask 3 companies for a quote and compare prices, or do it yourself.

A local company you know

This can be a great choice, because you can get a personal recommendation from a friend or a business partner. But don’t fall into the “I have to buy from him because he was recommended”. Do your homework first and find out if the company knows what she is doing.

Ask for 3 quotes

This is in my eye a good way to compare prices. The only important thing here is to know what you want first. If you ask quotes without detailing what you need, you will not be able to compare the 3 offers very easily.

Do it yourself

If you have the time to do it, you can use a very simple online tool and build your own website for the company store. The good side of this option is the reduced cost, because you control everything and you don’t have to pay for updates. The downside however is that you need to learn how to do it. But when you compare the prices, you might decide you want to learn!

How much should you pay for your website for the company store?

Again, it depends on your budget. If you are already spending thousands of dollars in advertising each year, you might have a larger budget to put in the web. On the other had, if your company has little budget for advertising, you should pay less.

Usually, when I build a website for a company store, I charge between 1000$ and 5000$, depending on the complexity of the site. I can offer very affordable rate for small website because I use an online tool that has an unbeatable price. This allow me, for my clients who has a smaller budget, to teach them how to manage their website themselves. This way, I get them started the right way using all the knowledge I have acquired in the past few years in web marketing, usability and search engine optimization, and then I let them continue the work themselves. It is an excellent way to save when you buy a website for the company store!

Web development incorporates all areas of creating a Web site for the World Wide Web. This includes Web design (graphic design, XHTML, CSS, usability and semantics), programming, server administration, content management, marketing, testing and deployment. The term can also specifically be used to refer to the “back end”, that is, programming and server administration. There is usually more than one member that works on a given Web Development team, each specializing in his or her own field.

These days, almost everybody relies on the internet. May it be chatting, shopping, or even just for fun; people are very fond of browsing the net. But these people don’t have the slightest idea on how hard it is to create, develop, and maintain a website. All they know is that if they find the site easy to navigate, or if it is easy to find, then they will visit it. But if your site is boring, then it will remain unvisited and your site rank will stay to zero.

For web masters, it is very fulfilling if they see their site having many visitors and their page rank is increasing. They have to think of different styles to promote their website and of course they have to update it at least once a month so that people who visit their site will not get tired of dropping by.

Managing a website professionally seems like a forever job. And if you’re not really into it, you might give up easily. Most webmasters will tell you that it is not really easy to maintain and develop websites especially if your products or the content of your website is common. What the web master usually does is that even if your website layout and content is generic, they make it appear like its unique and one of a kind.

If you’re a professional entrepreneur, your focus is to how you will sell the products and increase your earnings. One way of advertising your products and/or your company is through managing a website. But being busy will hinder you to maintain it. With this, chances are your product and your company will not be known to many people. Don’t let this happen to you. If you are really concern with the products you have and you want to sell it to people, use the internet! You don’t need to go through all the troubles that maintaining a website has. When service at your web hosting company is lacking, or your web site grows in traffic so much that you outgrow your current account, you may find yourself needing to change hosting providers. It can be scary to think about everything you need to do. Here are some things you should keep in mind that will help make the transition to the new host much easier.

1. Backup all of your files and databases

Before you decide to transfer anything over, you need to create a backup of every file and database you have on the current hosting provider’s server. FTP into your current hosting account and copy all of the files from your public_html directory into a directory on your local hard drive that you’ll find easy to remember later.

As for the database, backup methods will vary according to the database vendor, the control panel being used by the host if any, and the operating system of the server. Most providers provide a backup utility that allows you to save a copy of the contents of all of your database tables. If there isn’t a simple backup utility available, you will need to export the contents of your database in a comma delimited file or the standard file format for the particular database you use. Most backup utilities will convert the database into one long SQL file that is then easy for any compatible database engine to reconstruct.

2. Transfering to the new server

Make sure that your website is functioning properly at the new location before you change the DNS information of your domain name. While it may not be possible to fully navigate the site without the domain name pointing to it, you can still point to some individual pages to be sure they will come up. For this though, you’ll need to use the IP address of your hosting account along with your username if you have a shared IP address. On a Cpanel server, you would enter http://61.36.149.221/~username and your main website will come up. You can use this address until the DNS information from the domain propagates throughout the web.

3. Tidy up the loose ends

Upload the backup file of your databases or execute the SQL file you generated in the backup. This should restore your database back to what it was on the old server. Change the nameserver information for your domain name. This is almost always found with the registrar that you registered your domain with or with your old web hosting provider. They almost always assign you a username and password that allows you to log into an account that allows you to change the nameservers. If you don’t have a control panel, then simply email the company that registered your domain for you and ask them to change the nameservers to the new servers. Within 24 to 48 hours, your website will be served from the new server and not the old one. Once you can confirm this, it is safe to ask the old web hosting company to delete and discontinue your old account.

Majority of salesperson talk too much. That is what they are
there for and that is their trade. Oftentimes, this technique of
non-stop talking can be quite effective. People get interested
by what the salesperson is rambling about and some even get some
new and fresh ideas from the. Most of the time though, with many
already trying to talk people into getting their products and
services, people get tired of listening and simply ignore these
salespeople. Not all people like to listen to same things over
and over again. Also, not all have the patience to try to
pretend listening even for just a few minutes. If you want
people to take notice, putting something in printing would be
more effective than talking about it.

It is said that 80 percent out of 100 would rather talk than
listen to someone talking. So that leaves the remaining 20
percent who really listen. If you think about it, would you
rather read about something than have someone talk about it for
you?

Many buyers try to listen closely most are not actually
listening closely enough to take them all in. The many
statements and promises tend to overwhelm them if they are given
all at the same time. Putting them into brochures or catalogs
give them a choice when to read the information. They can either
spare some time for them or try to give a bit of attention
during free times when they do not have to think of anything
else. It is important to think that the busiest of people want
some time to breathe and relax for awhile when they are not
working. And it is during these times that they may remember
having been given one of these print materials. With clear minds
and a lot of space to think things over, they may enjoy what you
have presented in these printing materials and get to browse
through them leisurely without pressure. Without having to
squeeze them all in mind for fear that they might forget later
on.

It is most effective to try putting statements and questions
together. Asking a question initially, even if the answer is a
simple yes or no, can have the readers involve almost
immediately in what you are talking about. Even if they are not
aware of it, they tend to have some answers in their mind upon
seeing a question. It does not matter if the answer is positive
or negative. As long as it formulates an answer, then it is
altogether a successful way in getting through your readers.

The trick in getting an probable response from your readers is
to be able to get them involved in what you are into. People,
being self-centered only want the attention to themselves.
Sometimes having others beside yourself think and talk is a good
way to attain positive results. What better way to tell them
than to have them read it, on their own and in their own time?

Having an eye catching website is great, but are you optimizing your website to allow the best performance possible? I receive several emails a day from clients asking how they can get more hits to their websites, what can be done to increase sales, and how to prepare their sites for search engines. There are very simple things that can be done to help your website perform its best.

First of all, a websites load time is important for many reasons. No one wants to site and wait a minute for a page to show up. Slow loading websites can attribute to lost sales for your business! Many customers will actually avoid a website that takes a long time to load. You can keep your websites load time down drastically but keeping the size 26kb or smaller. If you are unsure of the size if your site you can calculate the size of your web page by highlighting the HTML document, then click on ‘File’ and ‘Properties’ and see your file size. Then repeat same step for each graphic you have on that page. Add each file size together to get the exact size of that page. One of the easiest ways to get a faster loading page is to shrink the images on your website. A GIF graphic can normally be reduced by around 30-40% without loosing any sharpness.

A site that contains broken links gives a bad impression to your visitors and can be a cause of lost visitors. Aside from the fact that broken links look unprofessional, some of the major search engines and portals may not index your page if it has broken links or missing images. You should check your website once it is complete to make sure every link is working properly, to avoid a possible business loss.

Search engines do not index images, so it is a good idea to always add ALT tags to your images to make sure the search engines recognize all of the content on your site. ALT tags that contain keywords can also be used to increase your keyword frequency and help you achieve better rankings. Two or Three ALT tags every few images is a great way to add additional keywords, as long as you remember not to add more than that. Adding more than a few, can actually be considered keyword spamming and can get your website banned from search engines.

When creating meta tags do NOT repeat the same key word several times. This is called ‘keyword spamming’ and it is disliked by the search engines. Let’s say your website offers gift baskets, use the keyword 1 or two times and that is it. If your keywords are baby gift basket, hostess gift, wedding basket, corporate gift basket, holiday gift basket, you have repeated the keyword gift and basket to many times. You can minimize your keyword characters by using gift basket, wedding, gifts, baby, wedding, corporate, and holiday. This way your website is not considered keyword spamming.

Many designers often separate keywords with commas. Instead of separating each keyword with a comma, just separate them using a space. By doing this, it will allow the search engines to combine your keywords into phrases, for people who use phrases to search.

These are very simple things that will help you see a big difference!

My Mother never had a website.

It’s the one question that sets the average webmaster’s teeth on
edge - Why do I actually need a website?

It always strikes me as the internet equivalent to “what is one
plus one?” Yes, I do know the answer, but when someone asks you
to explain exactly WHY one plus one equals two, then you have to
stop and think about it a little more yourself.

To play devil’s advocate briefly, the world is saturated with
advertising media - TV, posters, newspapers, handouts,
telephones, SMS messages, movies, videos and DVDs, audio, and
even sales teams I am already paying every one of which probably
has the power of speech. So now, you want to hit me for a
website so even yak farmers in Nepal and market traders in
Uganda can learn about my products on-line. Well that sounds
really useful but for this week, I’ll pass.

How do we answer this honestly?

I say honestly, because it is always a temptation just to say
that since there are over 11.2 billion websites available on the
internet then clearly someone must think that they are useful to
have around! But that is not really an answer. After all, about
half of the world’s population has pierced ears, wear dresses
and use make-up. I do not - am I missing out? Or am I perhaps
right in thinking they look a tad misplaced on a bearded male
web designer? So - no short cuts then.

I suggest we have to go back to basics & look at the website in
comparison with traditional marketing tools.

I always use this as my example.

Supposing you put a leaflet under a windscreen wiper of every
car on the planet for a single fee on a single day, would that
be worth your trouble?

After all: - Some people do not have a car,

An awful lot of people will just pull the leaflet out and throw
it away unread,

Some cannot read it,

Some will read it - but do not want or need your product,

A few might read it and then pass it on to their friends,

Some might blow away from under the windscreen wiper of their
car, or be dropped by other “readers” and someone else might
pick them up,

Just a few of these who respond well to your well-designed
leaflet will say - “Oh! Yeah! Great!” And will contact you,

This is called “conversion” If your conversion rate was only
0.01%, how many sales would you get?

On the net, your site is (or should be) viewable on every
computer on the planet that has an internet connection
(Estimated at 168,000,000 with 63, 0000 more every day).

Consider the possibilities of that kind of exposure - how little
it will cost in comparison with all the other form of mass media
with that kind of coverage such as worldwide use of national
newspapers, radio and TV.

As with our leaflet campaign, you will draw many blanks - and
there are many other leaflets out there - but now at least you
are in the game.

I do not plan to get into issues of search engine strategies at
this time, but with your “WWW” on every business card, receipt,
company car, shop, signboard, staff uniform, coffee mug, pen,
key fob and just about anything else you can lay hands on, it’s
a simple matter of increasing your company’s exposure and that
never hurts.

You are driving the public to the website where you can lay out
your wares to their best advantage - and feel free to change
your leaflet’s content ten times a day if you feel so inclined
without having to go to the time and trouble of re-leafleting
the planet, or at least your corner of it.
